President Bush gave up playing golf five years ago because he felt it was inappropriate to play while families mourned loved ones killed in Iraq and Afghanistan, he revealed in an interview with Politico. Bush was lampooned for playing golf while discussing terrorism in Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 911.
"I don't want some mom whose son may have recently died to see the commander-in-chief playing golf," he said. "I feel I owe it to the families to be in solidarity as best as I can with them. And I think playing golf during a war just sends the wrong signal."
However, making jokes about not finding WMD's at the Correspondents Dinner seemed to be ok with the dimwitted, hypocritical president.
OK, so golf=looks bad to gold star parents.
Jokes about the lies to get us into Iraq=Makes gold star parents laugh and forget about their tragedies.
And this Bozo STILL has 25% of the country behind him. That must be the 25% that doesn't own a television, or a radio, and can't read, and are homeless. That would be the only thing that would make any sense.
